TV programming returns to normal tonight!

TV programming will go back to normal tonight with the return of popular programs as the 2016 survey year is about to kick off, from Sunday.

Like every summer, by this point you have possibly had enough of Tennis, Cricket and program repeats, or you may be sad to learn that you have a few more weeks to wait until footy season starts on our screens. Or, if you’re like me It’s worse… you know that your favourite shows are about to own you once again!

This week we see the return of Aussie favourites Home and Away and Neighbours… who shot Charlotte? What’s Paul latest scheme? If you have been waiting all summer to find out the answers to these questions you could end up waiting all year.

Tonight also sees the start of My Kitchen Rules, Australia’s Got Talent, and Farmer Wants A Wife.

Here are some viewing highlights we can reveal for the rest of 2016;

  • My Kitchen Rules is expected to top the 2016 ratings again with a new mystery judge
  • Seven have announced they will launch a new channel later in February
  • Seven will be broadcasting the Rio Olympics in August
  • Seven’s mini-series Molly is expected to rival last year’s ratings for INXS: Never Tear Us Apart
  • Seven’s Wanted see’s the return of Australian favourite Rebecca Gibney to our screens
  • 2016 will be the final year for Winners And Losers
  • Nine will be bringing back Married at First Site for another season, along with Love Child and House Husbands
  • New program on Nine The First and Last 24 Hours in Prison will be an emotional insight into life behind bars in Australia
  • Nine’s NRL season kicks off on Thursday March 3rd with an Eels Vs Broncos match
  • Ten’s previously finished Offspring will make a comeback in mid 2016
  • Ten’s popular MasterChef will return in May
  • New miniseries ‘Brock’ will air on Ten later in 2016 showcasing the life of loved Aussie race champion Peter Brock

All networks have announced new locally produced content will be coming to our airways throughout 2016, along with returning US favourites. 2016 is shaping up to be a great year for Australian viewers.
